Tech Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead Software Engineer to join Timberhub’s core tech & product team and be part of an exciting journey in transforming an industry through smart technology. You will be working with a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager & engineers, in building high-impact solutions to solve complex user needs. You will have full ownership of tech projects and drive change through architecture, product implementation, and application of technology in an old-fashioned industry.

• Lead the design and development of our platform, working closely with the product team to define technical requirements and solutions.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the scalability, security, and quality of our software.
• Mentor and guide other members of the engineering team, helping to develop their technical skills and providing feedback on their work.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our platform and the timber industry, ensuring that our software meets the needs of our users.
• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities to improve our platform and stay ahead of the competition.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development
  
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including agile development methodologies, continuous integration and delivery, and test-driven development.
• Experience leading teams of engineers
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Experience working on e-commerce or marketplace platforms is a plus.
